MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) — One man is making a 9,000-mile bike ride to raise awareness for an important issue. On Tuesday, June 1, he made a stop in Menomonee Falls.

Jeff Salter is the founder and CEO of Caring Senior Service.

He’s biking to 45 states to bring attention to the issue of senior care.

The coronavirus pandemic has made the issue worse for senior care, as there’s a shortage of caregivers.

He hopes he can inspire people to get involved any way they can.

“Part of this ride, for me, is to inspire people,” Salter said. “I hope to inspire individuals, you know, see a guy riding 9,000 miles across the country, visit 45 locations, and say wow, what’s this all about? And learn more about what senior care is and what we’re trying to do. And maybe they get involved in some way, shape or form.”

Salter started Caring Senior Service when he was just 20 years old.

His company helps seniors maintain their independence and quality of life.

It provides tailored, non-medical services that allow older adults to age safely and happily in the comfort of their own homes.
