ORANGE COUNTY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Parentis Health, a healthcare company focusing on senior care, headquartered in Laguna Hills, has acquired Pop-in Care, a licensed home care company catering to elderly, individuals with disabilities and those recovering from surgeries or other acute illnesses. Pop-in Care specializes in short visits, without minimum hourly or weekly time or visitation requirements, and rounds out the care offerings of Parentis Health. It will continue to operate under the Pop-in Care name, as a Parentis Health subsidiary company.
Parentis Health, which recently received a 9-star HCI rating for its Hospice services from CMS, offers several services for seniors, including home care, home health, hospice, and transportation services under the Parentis brand, and residential care, under its Verona Court brand. CEO of Parentis Health Tarek A. El Nabli recognized the gap filled by Pop-in Care, which has been operating since 2018 with its current structure, as it adds to the affordability of home care services for those who need just a little support for bathing, meal preparation, temporary oversight, or companionship.
“Pop-in Care was founded and operated by Teri Frianeza, who really cares about the quality of services delivered, just as Parentis Health does. Teri saw a need – a group that others had ignored or abandoned, still independent but needing a little help with certain tasks – and found a way to fulfill it, with no minimums, but with an experienced, stable team that maintains the dignity of their clients,” says El Nabli. “Teri’s passion for providing this service and common vision with ours make Pop-in Care a perfect fit. We will grow the business and make it even more successful in helping more seniors live longer, more independent lives.”
El Nabli founded Parentis Health in 2003 after many years as an executive leader in insurance and the financial planning industries, when he found it difficult identifying quality care for his own mother. Parentis Health started out as a small number of residential care facilities, continuously expanded its services, and added home health and hospice divisions in 2014, along with home care and non-emergency medical transport. With the addition of Pop-in Care, it now provides a full continuum of care from one hour “pop-in” homecare visits, to home health and hospice care.
Frianeza will continue to run the Pop-in Care division, reporting directly to El Nabli. She says, “We found synergy with Parentis in our approach to senior services, with both of us creating affordable services that people want and need. We each make consistent efforts to put the needs of our clients first and are certain we can raise the standards of the industry. We solve challenges for many people who want to remain independent, or their children who are caught in between, caring for young kids while also worrying about Mom or Dad. Now they have a helper for as little or as much time as they need.”
Pop-in Care is approved by the Caregiver Resource Center of Orange County and is also an approved vendor for several long-term care insurance companies. Both Pop-in Care and Parentis Health have many clients within major retirement communities in the area, including Laguna Woods, Leisure World Seal Beach, Vivante on the Coast in Costa Mesa, Atria Irvine, and Las Palmas in Laguna Hills.
