CLINTON – The Clinton Senior Center is holding its first Caregiver Expo on Saturday, May 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. John’s Gym, 149 Chestnut St.
This free event provides information and resources to people who care for elderly or disabled family members and friends.
Caring for an older or disabled adult is both a rewarding and sometimes overwhelming role. Caregivers arrange and drive to doctor appointments, cook, clean, do laundry, help with bathing and personal care, manage finances, assist with legal planning and make sure medications are filled and taken. Many caregivers also have jobs and others to care for, including their own children.
Those who leave work may be faced with financial struggles.
This is an opportunity to find resources all in one place.
Attendees will be able to visit booths of businesses and organizations from around the region to gather information and resources related to health care, personal care, home health, assisted living, long-term care and other services that promote successful aging and living.
This event is open to caregivers of all ages in the North Central Massachusetts area. All the sponsors will have brochures readily available. There will also be door prizes.
Opportunities are still available for sponsorships for this year’s Expo event. If you offer services that could be of help to caregivers in the North Central Massachusetts area, call the Clinton Senior Center at (978) 733-4747, ext. 304, for more information or to sign up as a vendor.
