China is facing an aging population and is expected to have 260 million elderly people by 2050. That’s one-fifth of the country’s total population. The government and the private sector have joined hands to support older people by providing better care. Twenty years ago, Yang Xifeng used up all her savings to open the first nursing home ever in Taiyuan City, capital of north China’s Shanxi Province. She now runs the only chain nursing home in the city. Facing multiple challenges, she chooses to keep up with the work.
