Open Heart Senior Home Care is reaching out to seniors in the community, informing them of the services they offer to help them better manage their daily activities.

Established in 2017, Open Heart Senior Home Care, LLC is a family-owned company whose mission is to deliver high-quality and cost-effective non-medical home care and lifestyle services.

“A lot of people don’t know about the service that we offer,” stated Clinical Director Kizzy Butler. “The services we provide are Medicaid paid, so nothing comes out of their check.”

The services aim to aid in the health, comfort and happiness of the client. Butler states the company offers home labor services such as housekeeping, running errands and medicine reminders to help the client better manage their daily routines and activities.

A Medicaid waiver form is available to pick up at their office at 615 Market Street in Port Gibson. Once submitted, Medicaid will assess the form and place the client on a list. Once approved, they will come out to the client’s home and do an assessment to determine the type of care needed and how many hours the client will require assistance.

“Once they do your assessment they are going to go off of the needs they see you may need,” said Butler. “Once I received that paperwork I set up a PTA or a CNA to go out to the home. It is a 24-hour care.”
